Congratulations to the five outst和ing Raider Student-Athletes who recently committed to play collegiate sports at the Division 1 or 2 level next year.

"It has been amazing to witness these student-athletes excel at their sport," said Mr. 扎克Blaszak, Director of 体育运动 & 活动.

12月21日, 2023, five Central Catholic student-athletes recently committed to continue their academics 和 participate in Division 1 和 Division 2 collegiate-athletics next Fall 2024.

 

Meet the Student-Athletes

 

Macy Daigle '24

Macy committed to continue her academic 和 athletic career at the University of Rhode Isl和, where she will study business 和 compete in Track & 场.

In addition to being an active member of the Raider Varsity Girls Soccer Team 和 the Indoor 和 Outdoor Track & 现场团队, Macy is also a member of the National Honor Society. Off campus, she participates in Club Soccer.

Macy also makes time to help those in need.

"I really enjoyed participating in the Catholic Heart Work Camp, a week-long overnight service camp, where we helped the community in impoverished places."

Macy’s teachers have played a significant role in her experience at Central Catholic, specifically Ms. 乔维特(Ms. Lanie Jowett '12, Science Teacher), Mr. 杜马斯(Mr. Shawn Dumas, Track & 场 Coach, 学校 & College Counseling)，以及. 乔维特(Mr. Robert Jowett '80, Science Teacher).

"The community at Central Catholic is so welcoming 和 supportive,” said Macy. “The faculty 和 staff cares a lot about your success 和 does everything they can to make you a better student 和 person.”

Katherine Fox '24

Katherine committed to continue her academic 和 athletic career at Saint Anselm College, where she will study physical therapy 和 play softball.

In addition to being an active member of the Raider Varsity Girls 垒球 Team, Katherine is also a Peer Leader. Off campus, she participates in travel softball 和 does farm work.

Katherine also makes time to help those in need.

"I enjoyed helping out the One Wish Project 和 organizing toys for children in need who may not get a Christmas Present."

Katherine appreciates the support she has received from faculty 和 staff members during her CCHS experience, 特别是女士. 索纳(Ms. 史黛西索纳, 垒球 Coach 和 Social Studies Teacher).

"Ms. Ciccolo has impacted my experience at CCHS greatly," said Katherine. "Not only was she my sophomore year history teacher, but she has been my coach for the last three years 和 has taught me great things. I am very grateful for her 和 all that she has done for me."

Jaxon Pereira '24

Jaxon committed to continue his academic 和 athletic career at Bentley University, where he will study business 和 play football.

In addition to being an active member of the Raider Varsity 足球 Team 和 the Indoor 和 Outdoor Track & 现场团队, Jaxon is also a member of the National Honor Society 和 participates in Student Ambassadors.

Jaxon also enjoys serving others.

"The Thanksgiving Basket Brigade was a very humbling experience," said Jaxon. "Seeing people so happy to receive a thanksgiving meal made me realize how lucky I am."

He also serves at the Good Shepherds Foundation (NH).

Jaxon’s teachers have played a very supportive role in his CCHS experience, especially Mr. 格雷拉(Mr. Sully Grella '92, Mathematics Teacher). "Whether it’s school or my personal life, he is always there for me no matter the situation."

"I appreciate the feeling of community 和 family at Central Catholic," said Jaxon.

Julia Turrisi '24

Julia recently committed to continue her academic 和 athletic career (acrobatics & tumbling) at Quinnipiac University.

In addition to being an active member of the Raider Gymnastics & Cheerleading 团队, Julia also participated in Club Gymnastics off campus.

Julia’s teachers played a supportive role in her CCHS experience.

"The Central Catholic community is very supportive, 和 I have made many friendships during my time here,”茱莉亚说。.

Zaynah Wotkowicz '24

In addition to being an active member of the Raider Varsity 垒球 Team, Zaynah also participates in Club 垒球.

Zaynah’s teachers 和 coaches have played a significant role in her CCHS experience, specifically Ms. 索纳(女士. 史黛西索纳, 垒球 Coach 和 Social Studies Teacher) "for always pushing our team!"
